Plain Jane Vanilla Syrup
Colossians 1:13-14
“For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.”
Ingredients:
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
1 ½ tbsp homemade vanilla extract (or 1 whole vanilla bean)
To make:
Combine water and sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir until sugar dissolves.
Remove from heat and stir in homemade vanilla extract (or add vanilla bean seeds and pod, then strain after cooling).
Let cool, pour into a jar or bottle, and store up to 3 weeks.
To use:
Add 1–2 tablespoons to coffee, iced lattes, or oatmeal for a soft, sweet vanilla touch.
