An app born from necessity

Starting new is hard — new trends, new life stages, new cities. Each requires finding new self-care service providers. Whether it’s finding a facialist for an acne flare up or needing a new OBGYN, women go through changes often, and always want the best care.

Finding a trusted resource for recommendations can be tough, and comparing reviews on different sites is time consuming. An anonymous four-star review for a smoothie may suffice, but not for the intimate, expensive decisions women make about their bodies. Women want qualified, personal recommendations from trustworthy sources —which is exactly why we created theheard.

No matter where you are in your journey, theheard is always there to make new feel a little easier and more informed.

Our Advisors

Alexandra Wilkis Wilson

Alexandra Wilkis Wilson
Advisor

Alexandra is co-founder of ecommerce sensation Gilt and the beauty-at-your-doorstep company GlamSquad. Before AI and machine learning were everywhere, she used the tech to create a shopping tool that Google found so compelling they bought it pre-launch. But wait, there’s more. She and her team developed an analogue tool that Tradesy picked up, and she helped Allergan, a global pharmaceutical leader in aesthetics, engage directly with customers. She does it all — and her latest endeavor Clerisy, an investment growth fund, helps others do the same.

So why the name?

Like a herd of zebras where no two stripes are the same, we all have our own expertise, preferences and perspective. When we come together, that’s where the power lies, the power of theheard.
