The Lamb
Some mornings, as I sit quietly with a cup of coffee, I’m reminded of God’s presence all around me. His mercies are new each day, and each morning we are given the beautiful gift of choosing to turn to Him.
He knows everything… what has been, what is, and what will be. He sees our struggles, our grief, and the ways our hearts ache. He sees each of us, His beloved image-bearers, and He will judge with perfect righteousness. And yet, even in our imperfections, His mercy meets us. Every day is an invitation to repent, to start fresh, and to rest in His goodness.
Last night at church, someone shared a truth that stuck with me: Jesus didn’t come to show us how to live. Though, His life is the perfect example of the ways in which we should go. The reason He came to this world is to give us forgiveness. He came to be the Lamb. And because of that, we can live in freedom, knowing grace covers us.
May we also pray for those who hurt or persecute us, that they too may know this same forgiveness, and that our hearts would overflow with love even when it’s hard.
