New Years Resolutions
New Year’s resolutions don’t have to start on January 1st. They are not about a single day on the calendar but about small, choices you make every day. Each morning is a chance to try again, to slow down, be thankful, and grow a little closer to God.
Some realistic faith based goals you might consider this year are spending five minutes in prayer each morning, reading one short passage of scripture each day, keeping a gratitude journal, intentionally showing kindness to someone in your life, or taking time each week to rest and reflect on God’s goodness. The real magic of resolutions is in consistency, not timing. It is in the building habits that make your life calmer, more meaningful, and rooted in faith.
I myself am guilty of saying that January 1st, is the day that this big life goal because reality for me. However, over the past several years I have made the effort to start, not on new years day, but the days that make the year.
